Joal-Fadiouth and a day with a Serer family in Samba Dia
Overview
Experience Senegal from the inside in a day that combines heritage and community. In the morning you will visit Joal-Fadiouth, the shell island, accompanied by a local guide. Afterwards a Serer family in Samba Dia will welcome you, opening the doors of their home to share their way of life. You will wear original traditional Senegalese clothing, for women or men, and take it home as a souvenir. You will explore the local market, cook alongside the family in a cooking workshop and enjoy lunch, learn traditional dances with live music and taste ataya, the traditional Senegalese tea.
